eSIM profiles live on the embedded eUICC chip, not in the filesystem. Android manages them through Settings and the EuiccManager service; no file copy can move a profile.
Transfers happen carrier-side. Wiping the phone without a transfer plan strands the number.
Physical SIM data never touches these paths either. The chip answers the modem directly.

Add, disable, erase and transfer profiles here; there is no file path since profiles sit on the eUICC chip. Carrier apps and QR provisioning write through EuiccManager. Back up by transferring to the new phone before wiping the old one.

Can I back up an eSIM to a file?
No. Chip-bound profiles move only through carrier transfer flows in Settings above.
Does factory reset delete eSIMs?
It offers the choice. Keep profiles only when staying on the same device; erase when selling.
