Where Does Konsole Store Profiles and Settings?
Konsole konsolerc plus profile files on Linux with colors and keybinds.
Last updated
Konsole splits settings between konsolerc for app behavior and .profile files for per-profile colors, fonts and keybinds. Custom color schemes live in a colorschemes folder nearby.
Profiles reference schemes by name, so missing scheme files silently fall back. Copy the config files plus schemes and every profile renders identically.
Where Konsole stores this, by platform
~/.config/konsolerc
Main settings file with default profile pointer. Profiles are .profile files in the same folder and schemes in ~/.local/share/konsole. Copy konsolerc plus the profiles and schemes with Konsole closed.
