Where Is the Downloads Folder on Android?

Browser and app downloads on Android land in a Download folder in internal shared storage. Every file manager shows it; the system Files app lists it under Downloads or Internal storage.
Over USB it appears under the phone name with the same contents. SD card setups add a second storage root, but downloads default to internal unless moved.

Browsed as Internal storage/Download or Files/Downloads. Chrome lets you change it per download; most apps do not offer a choice.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I find a just downloaded file?
Check the app own folder first (Telegram, WhatsApp and mail apps keep their own dirs). Browser downloads always use Download unless changed.
Do downloads survive a factory reset?
No. Internal storage wipes, including Download. Move keepers to Drive or a PC before resetting.
