Where Does Revolt Store Local Data?

Revolt desktop cache, settings and session tokens per OS.

Last updated

Revolt desktop and web clients keep cache, settings and session tokens in per-OS app-data folders, with servers holding authoritative messages. Clearing local data logs you out but never deletes servers.

Keep backup codes before wiping sessions since 2FA re-prompts instantly. Cache folders regrow while token folders do not.

Where Revolt stores this, by platform

Windows
%APPDATA%\Revolt

Desktop cache, settings and session tokens. Quit the client fully before clearing. Exact folder casing follows the client build; check Roaming for revolt variants.

macOS
~/Library/Application Support/Revolt

macOS cache mirror. Open through Finder Go to Folder. Same logout-on-wipe behavior.

Linux
~/.config/Revolt

Linux config-tree cache and tokens. Flatpak builds redirect under ~/.var/app instead.
