Where Does AIDA64 Store Settings and Profiles?
Where AIDA64 keeps aida64.ini, satellite INIs and registry settings.
Last updated
AIDA64 keeps settings in aida64.ini beside the exe plus satellite INIs per feature (benchmarks, audits, remote monitor, stability test) and leftovers in HKCU Software FinalWire. SensorPanel layouts and LCD designs ride in the same ini.
Launch with /INIFILE to point at custom preference files per instance. Export LCD panels separately anyway; full folder copies miss nothing but registry states. Pressing OK in Preferences creates a default ini when absent.
Where AIDA64 stores this, by platform
<AIDA64 install>\aida64.ini
Main plus satellite INI files beside the exe with registry states under HKCU FinalWire. Fallback is LocalAppData when unwritable. Use /INIFILE for per-instance prefs. Export LCD designs separately.
Frequently asked questions
How do I back up AIDA64 completely?
Copy aida64.ini plus satellite files (benchresults, customvars, auditmgr and friends) and export HKCU Software FinalWire AIDA64. Both halves matter: files hold layouts and results, registry holds window states.
Why are there two possible aida64.ini locations?
It falls back to LocalAppData FinalWire AIDA64 when the install folder is not writable. Program Files installs hit this; portable folders on data drives keep settings beside the exe.
