Privacy Policy
Last updated
Short version: this is a static reference site. There are no accounts, no comment sections, no contact forms with databases behind them, and no advertising trackers. The only data that reaches us is what you deliberately send by email, plus aggregate, anonymous visit counts if you accept analytics.
Information you send us
If you email [email protected], we receive your address and whatever you wrote. That is used only to read and reply to your message. Emails are never sold, shared, or added to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, so no usernames, passwords, or profiles.
- Search runs entirely in your browser against files served with the page. Your queries are never sent to us or to any search provider.
- No social login buttons, no embedded videos, no third-party widgets that phone home.
Analytics (only with your consent)
This site can use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused measurement tool that does not use cross-site cookies and does not track you across the web. It is off by default and loads only after you press Accept in the cookie banner. If you press Reject, it never loads. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer. If enabled, it counts aggregate visits (pages viewed, referrers, device types). It never sees your searches, your theme choice, or anything you type into an email.
Hosting and security
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare necessarily processes technical connection data (such as IP addresses in server logs) to deliver pages and fend off abuse, and it may set short-lived security cookies for that purpose. That processing happens on Cloudflare's infrastructure under their own policies, not in any database of ours. We have no access to individual visitor logs.
Storage on your own device
Two small preferences live only in your browser's local storage and are never transmitted to us: your light/dark theme choice and your cookie consent choice. Details are on the cookie policy page.
Your rights (EU, UK, and elsewhere)
If you are in the EU or UK, you hold GDPR rights over your personal data: access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection. In practice the only personal data we could hold about you is your email correspondence, so exercising those rights means emailing [email protected] and telling us what you want done. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Visitors elsewhere receive the same treatment on request.
Children
This site contains general reference material and is not directed at children. Nobody needs to provide any personal information to read it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the last-updated date above will change with it. Minor clarifications may be made without notice.
