Where Are Anno 1800 Saves Stored?
Anno 1800 stores PC saves in Documents under Anno 1800 accounts. Each profile name gets its own folder with all manual and auto saves inside.
Last updated
Anno 1800 creates an accounts folder in Documents with one subfolder per Ubisoft account ID. Inside each account folder is a profile folder plus accountdata.a7s. All save slots for that profile live in the profile folder.
Ubisoft Connect cloud sync mirrors these files when enabled. Copy the full accounts folder while the game is closed to back up every profile at once.
Where Anno 1800 stores this, by platform
C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Anno 1800\accounts\<accountID>\<profileName>
Replace <username> with your Windows profile name. Replace <accountID> with the long hex string for your Ubisoft account. Replace <profileName> with the in game profile name you entered on first save. Back up the full accounts folder to preserve all profiles and cloud flags.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\<UbisoftID>\4553
Replace <UbisoftID> with your Ubisoft account folder name. Subfolder 4553 is the Anno 1800 ID used by Ubisoft Connect for cloud cache. The Documents accounts folder remains the primary location for manual backup and transfer.
Frequently asked questions
How do I transfer Anno 1800 saves to a new PC?
Install and log into the same Ubisoft account on the new PC, then copy your old Documents Anno 1800 accounts folder into the same Documents path. Launch once and allow cloud sync to reconcile. Use matching profile names to avoid duplicate profile folders.
Why does the game not see my copied saves?
Confirm the files are under the correct <accountID> folder for the logged in account and that Ubisoft Connect is not logged into a different account. Run Ubisoft Connect as administrator if the folder is recreated empty. Keep a copy of the original folder until the saves list correctly.
