Where Are Assassin's Creed II Save Files Located?
The Assassin's Creed II save files on PC, with Ezio's saga in Ubisoft's numbered savegames folder.
Last updated
Ezio's Renaissance saves in Ubisoft's own savegames directory under a numeric game ID, far from Documents or AppData. Config lives apart in Roaming, so settings and assassinations split across two homes.
Older patches used different launcher folders, so legacy guides point at obsolete trees. Follow the Connect path below and the whole Auditore saga transfers.
Where Assassin's Creed II stores this, by platform
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\[UbisoftID]\4
Ubisoft savegames location with numeric game ID 4. [UbisoftID] is your account folder. Config lives apart in Roaming. Adjust the Ubisoft root if installed elsewhere.
Frequently asked questions
Why is there no AC2 folder in Documents?
Ubisoft games of this era save in the launcher's savegames directory instead. That numbered folder is the only copy.
How do I back up Assassin's Creed II?
Copy the numbered game folder out of savegames. Sequences, villas, and feathers travel together.
