Where Does Avidemux Store Presets?

Avidemux encoding presets and custom job script folders on Windows, macOS, and Linux for video work.

Last updated

Avidemux keeps presets in per user config folders. Windows uses %APPDATA%\avidemux with jobs and presets inside. Linux uses ~/.config/avidemux and macOS uses Application Support with the same layout.

Encode jobs save as project scripts wherever you point them. Those scripts replay filters on new sources. Back up the config folder with saved scripts. Recent lists rebuild when missing, presets do not. Filters preview before applying to output. Copy mode cuts without reencoding for speed. Jobs queue for batch runs.
