Last updated
Eddie Riggs saves his roadie crusade in Roaming AppData under the Doublefine studio folder, in a spaceless BrutalLegend directory. Steam copies add an account level below; other builds save directly in the folder.
Double Fine's own support page confirms the tree for lost save questions. Copy the folder and the whole metal army transfers to a new stage.
Where Brutal Legend stores this, by platform
%APPDATA%\Doublefine\BrutalLegend
%APPDATA% is Roaming with no space in Doublefine or BrutalLegend. Steam builds add an account folder below. Steam Cloud syncs the tree.
Frequently asked questions
How do I back up Brutal Legend?
Copy the whole BrutalLegend folder while the game is closed. Campaign progress and side missions travel together.
Does the umlaut in Brutal matter for the path?
No. The folder uses plain ASCII as BrutalLegend. Search that spelling under Roaming.
