Where Does the Bryton Active App Store Data?

Bryton Active app activities and routes on Android and iPhone, and the account sync that preserves them.

Last updated

Bryton Active syncs head units to your Bryton account with routes, workouts and ride history. The phone app mirrors that cloud library and stages uploads. Wiping without sync loses pending rides.

Android keeps files under the Active package in scoped storage. The package label shows in App info. iOS confines the same content to the container. Sync first, browse second.

Where Bryton stores this, by platform

Android
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/[bryton-package]/files

Confirm the package in App info before digging. Pending uploads sit here until sync completes. Keep the app open on Wi Fi after long rides.

iOS
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents

Reach content through the Files app or a backup. Pairing a second phone without unpairing can fork route libraries, so check the account view.

Frequently asked questions

How do I move Bryton data to a new phone?

Install Bryton Active on the new phone, sign in and pair the head unit. Activities and routes download from your account. Copying scoped storage by hand misses login state.

How do I export Bryton activities?

Open the activity and use share or export to GPX, TCX or FIT where offered. Local files under the app package are cache. Strava sync gives a durable second copy.
