Where Are Warhammer: Chaosbane Save Files Located?
The Chaosbane save files on PC, with Empire heroes in the install folder's Data directory.
Last updated
Chaosbane musters its Empire heroes in a Data folder inside its own install directory, with a save level at the bottom. No user folder participates, which surprises first time witch hunters.
Program Files installs without elevation redirect writes to VirtualStore, splitting heroes across two locations. Check both spots if the Bright Wizard looks less experienced than remembered.
Where Warhammer: Chaosbane stores this, by platform
<SteamLibrary>\steamapps\common\Warhammer Chaosbane\Data\save
Inside the install folder starting from your Steam library root. Without admin rights Windows may redirect to VirtualStore instead.
Frequently asked questions
Why is there no Chaosbane folder in Documents?
The game stores saves in its install directory under Data. That is the only local copy.
My Chaosbane heroes look out of date. Why?
A VirtualStore redirect is the likely cause. Check %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore for a shadow copy of the save folder.
