Where Are Conan Exiles Save Files Located?

Conan Exiles single player world database in the install folder, and the Enhanced rename to watch for.

Last updated

Conan Exiles single player and co-op worlds live in the install tree, not userdata: <Steam>\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Saved\game.db, a SQLite world database with game_backup files beside it. Config sits in Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor.

Enhanced (UE5) clients rename the live file to game_0.db on first boot, so point backup scripts at the new name or they archive a fossil. Only one active save per map exists: swapping solo and co-op means manual file juggling. Dedicated servers reuse the same Saved path on the host, apart from your local game.

Where Conan Exiles stores this, by platform

Windows
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Saved\

World in game.db (Legacy) or game_0.db (Enhanced UE5); backups, Siptah DLC db and Logs alongside (AppID 440900, no userdata saves). Uninstalling deletes the install tree including saves. No native Linux or Mac build exists.

Frequently asked questions

Will uninstalling Conan Exiles delete my single player world?

Yes. The world database lives inside the install folder, so Steam removes it with the game. Copy game.db (or game_0.db on Enhanced) plus backups out before uninstalling.

Where are Conan Exiles server saves?

On the server host under the same ConanSandbox\Saved path. Your local Saved folder holds only single player and co-op worlds; server progress never touches your PC.
