Where Does Cozy Store Library Data?
Cozy tracks books and positions in ~/.local/share/cozy. Delete it plus cache to reset everything.
Last updated
Cozy keeps its library database, positions, and settings in ~/.local/share/cozy while your audiobook files stay wherever you imported them from. The official reset is deleting that folder plus ~/.cache/cozy, which wipes all progress.
Offline copies for network libraries download into internal storage on demand. Flatpak sandboxes complicate custom library paths, so grant access with Flatseal when books live outside the default locations like /media.
Where Cozy stores this, by platform
~/.local/share/cozy/ (+ ~/.cache/cozy/)
Library database and progress. Books themselves stay in your chosen storage folders. Delete both folders with Cozy closed to reset. Flatpak installs may remap home, so check Flatseal permissions when imports fail.
Frequently asked questions
How do I reset Cozy completely?
Quit Cozy and delete ~/.local/share/cozy and ~/.cache/cozy. That clears the library, positions, and settings while leaving your audio files alone. Reimport storage folders afterwards.
Cozy can't see books on my second drive. Why?
Flatpak sandboxing hides paths outside its permissions. Open Flatseal, grant Cozy the drive path such as /media, and reimport. Native distro packages see the whole filesystem already.
