Where Does Dia Store Your Profile?

Dia's Chromium style profile folder on Mac, what lives inside it, and the Windows status.

Last updated

Dia is The Browser Company's AI follow up to Arc, built on Chromium. On Mac it follows the Chromium convention and keeps profiles under an Application Support folder named Dia, with a User Data directory and per profile subfolders inside.

Windows was still waitlist only at last check, with a beta promised for the fall. That is why this post covers Mac only. Adding a Windows path before the release ships would be guessing, and a wrong browser path wastes more time than no path at all.

Where Dia stores this, by platform

macOS
~/Library/Application Support/Dia

Profiles live below User Data inside this folder, typically in a Default subfolder. Cache sits separately under ~/Library/Caches. Use Finder Go to Folder since Library is hidden.

Frequently asked questions

Is Dia available on Windows yet?

Not generally. Dia opened to all Mac users in late 2025 while Windows stayed on a beta waitlist. Check diabrowser.com/windows rather than hunting for a profile folder that does not exist yet.

Can I copy my Dia profile to another Mac?

Yes, with Dia fully quit. Copy the whole Dia folder, not just Default, so logins, extensions and workspace layouts travel together. Expect to reauthenticate some sites on first launch.
