Where Does DJI Fly Store Photos, Video, and Logs?

DJI Fly saves flight logs in its app data folder, with drone photos and video on the aircraft SD card under DCIM.

Last updated

DJI Fly keeps three things in three places. Flight records and app logs live in app private storage (dji.go.v5 on Android, the DJI Fly shared folder on iOS). Aircraft photos and video live on the drone SD card under DCIM. Cached previews on the phone are low quality stand ins.

For support cases DJI wants the FlightRecord folder zipped whole. On Android pull it over USB from Android data. On iOS use Finder File Sharing or the in app Log Upload flow. Copy DCIM 100MEDIA separately for the actual footage.

Where DJI Fly stores this, by platform

Android
Internal storage/Android/data/dji.go.v5/files/FlightRecord

App logs sit beside it in LOG. Drone media is on the aircraft card at DCIM\100MEDIA (panoramas in PANORAMA, hyperlapse in HYPERLAPSE). Newer builds moved logs under Android data instead of DJI root.

iOS
Files > On My iPhone > DJI Fly > FlightRecords

Reach the same files over USB via Finder File Sharing under DJI Fly. Use Profile and Flight Data with auto sync for cloud copies. Drone SD card media still comes off separately.

Frequently asked questions

How do I export DJI Fly flight logs for support?

Copy the whole FlightRecord folder over USB and zip it, or use Service and Log Upload inside the app with the incident date selected. Include app logs and a short description of when the fault occurred.

Where are my actual drone photos if logs are on the phone?

On the aircraft SD card under DCIM 100MEDIA. The phone holds flight telemetry and thumbnails. Pull the card or connect the drone over USB to copy full resolution originals.
