Where Are Dragon Age: Inquisition Saves Stored?

Dragon Age Inquisition stores PC saves in Documents under BioWare. Each campaign slot is a separate DAS file in the Save folder.

Last updated

Dragon Age Inquisition writes saves to Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age Inquisition\Save. Slot files use the DAS extension with profile data kept beside them. The path is the same for EA App, Origin legacy installs and Steam installs.

Cloud sync through EA App mirrors this folder when enabled. Copy the full Save folder while the game is closed to preserve every Inquisitor and avoid partial restores.

Where Dragon Age: Inquisition stores this, by platform

Windows
C:\Users\<username>\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age Inquisition\Save

Replace <username> with your Windows profile name. If Documents is redirected to OneDrive, confirm the active Documents path in File Explorer properties because the game follows the Windows Personal folder location. Keep cloud sync enabled after restore so the local and cloud copies agree.

Frequently asked questions

Can I move Inquisition saves to another PC?

Yes. Copy the full Save folder to the same Documents BioWare path on the new PC while using the same EA account. Launch once to rebuild any missing profile links. Keep the original copy until the saves list correctly.

Why does the game not see my saves after reinstall?

A single corrupt DAS file can hide the full list. Move the most recent DAS file out, relaunch, and check if older saves return. Also confirm you are logged into the correct EA account and that OneDrive has finished syncing Documents.
