Where Does EDIUS Store Projects?

EDIUS editing projects and system preset folders on Windows for timeline edits and disc exports use.

Last updated

EDIUS keeps edits as .ezp project files wherever you save them. Documents\EDIUS is the usual home with versioned subfolders. Proxies, waveforms, and renders sit beside the project in its folder.

System settings in %APPDATA%\Grass Valley hold presets and device profiles. Those travel separately from projects. Back up .ezp files with their project folders and settings. Relink media when drive letters change. Proxy mode edits 4K smoothly on older PCs. Disc burners author DVDs from the timeline directly.

Save projects as .ezp files anywhere, often Documents. The project folder beside them holds proxies and renders. Back up both since proxies rebuild slowly on big jobs.

where is the EDIUS project folder setting

Open Settings, System Settings to read the project and cache paths. Defaults point at Documents with version folders. The cache path decides where proxies land.
