Where Is the Fusuma Config File?

Fusuma touchpad gesture YAML config path and plugin setup on Linux.

Last updated

Fusuma reads one YAML file under XDG config. The folder does not create itself, so first-time setup needs a manual mkdir. Gestures, thresholds and plugin hooks all live there.

Plugins arrive as separate gems with their own names. No plugin config dir exists. Flags cover daemon mode, custom paths and log files.

Where Fusuma stores this, by platform

Linux
~/.config/fusuma/config.yml

Single YAML for gestures and plugin hooks. Folder needs manual creation. Plugins are gems with no shared config dir. Daemon and log flags cover background use.

Frequently asked questions

How do I back up Fusuma?

Create the config dir manually, then copy config.yml elsewhere as backup. Plugins install as gems beside it. Restoring means putting the file back and restarting the daemon.

How do I use a custom config?

Pass a custom path with the config flag. Daemon mode and log file flags pair with it for background use. The default path never creates itself.
