Geany stores user settings in its config directory. On Linux that is ~/.config/geany, home to geany.conf plus filetype configs, snippets.conf, and keybindings. The -c flag points Geany at a different directory for portable setups.
On Windows the same folder lives at %APPDATA%\geany. It only appears after the first launch, so run Geany once before hunting for it. macOS builds follow the Linux style path under ~/.config/geany rather than Application Support.
