Where Are Gecko Gods Save Files Located?

Gecko Gods saves under the Inresin studio name in LocalLow, not under anything called Gecko.

Last updated

Gecko Gods files its saves under the developer name Inresin in LocalLow, inside a Gecko Gods subfolder. Searching AppData for Gecko finds it eventually, but knowing the Inresin parent gets you there in one step.

The layout is standard Unity, so settings sit beside progress in the same tree. One folder copy preserves the whole archipelago: relics, puzzle states and options together.

Where Gecko Gods stores this, by platform

Windows
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Inresin\Gecko Gods

Saves and settings together in one tree. Steam Cloud syncs the folder for Steam builds.

Linux
~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/1290760/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/Inresin/Gecko Gods

Proton prefix for Steam Deck and Linux desktops, app ID 1290760. Same Inresin nesting inside the prefix.

Frequently asked questions

Does Gecko Gods support Steam Cloud?

Yes for the Steam build. Progress follows your account, but a manual copy of the Inresin folder protects against sync conflicts.

I finished the game and want to replay fresh. What do I delete?

The contents of the Gecko Gods folder in LocalLow, with the game closed and cloud sync off. The game rebuilds clean state on next launch.
