Where Does Jango Store Stations and Cache?

Jango radio stations in your account with audio cache in app storage.

Last updated

Jango is free streaming radio with no offline mode, so there is no music folder to find. Stations, thumbs up and down history and favorites live on the Jango account and follow you across phone, web and desktop.

The only thing on disk is transient audio cache in app private storage. Clearing it costs nothing except rebuffered streams. New devices need just a sign in; there are no files worth migrating by hand.

Where Jango stores this, by platform

Android
App-private storage (stream cache; stations on your account)

Custom artist stations and favorites sync via login. Cache clears safely from app settings. Reinstalling restores every station once you sign back in.

iOS
App sandbox (stream cache; stations on your account)

Same account bound library on iPhone with background play. Offloading preserves the shell; the stations were never on the device to lose.

Frequently asked questions

can I download Jango songs for offline

No. Jango streams only, so offline listening needs another service. The cache holds recent stream buffers, not keepable tracks. Favorite stations instead and they persist on the account.

how do I move Jango stations to a new phone

Sign into the same account on the new phone. Stations, likes and bans sync down automatically. Nothing in app storage needs copying.
