Where Does Lotide Store Config and Data?

Lotide keeps its config beside the binary with community data in the database it points at.

Last updated

Lotide is a self-hosted link aggregator, so everything lives on your own server. Configuration sits beside the binary, uploads collect in a data directory, and content lives in the database it points at.

That trio is the whole migration unit. Copy the files, restore the dump, and point the config at the new database. Confirm exact paths in your deployment, since container layouts move them. Either half alone restores nothing usable.

Deploy dir (config + data + database)

Config beside the binary plus the data directory for uploads. Back up config plus data plus a database dump together.

Frequently asked questions

How do I migrate my Lotide instance to a new server?

Back up the config file, the data directory, and a database dump together. Posts without the database lose their threads, and the database without files serves broken avatars.
