Where Are Motorsport Manager Save Files Located?
Motorsport Manager saves careers under a Playsport Games folder in LocalLow, mirrored on Mac and Linux.
Last updated
Motorsport Manager keeps careers in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Playsport Games\Motorsport Manager\Cloud\Saves on Windows. The Cloud level is literal: Steam syncs that whole tree, so local files and cloud copies are the same thing.
Mac and Linux use the same relative layout under their own app-data roots. That makes cross-machine moves easy. Copy the Cloud folder with the game closed and the career, settings and Workshop mod state travel together. Steam Cloud then carries that same folder to your other machines.
Where Motorsport Manager stores this, by platform
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Playsport Games\Motorsport Manager\Cloud\Saves
Career saves in the Saves subfolder; settings and Workshop state in Cloud beside it. Steam Cloud syncs this tree. Copy it with the game closed.
~/Library/Application Support/Playsport Games/Motorsport Manager/Cloud/Saves
Same Playsport Games layout as Windows. Copy the Cloud folder between machines to move a career from PC to Mac.
~/.config/unity3d/Playsport Games/Motorsport Manager/Cloud/Saves
Unity's Linux data root holds the identical Cloud tree. Steam Play and native builds agree on this layout.
Frequently asked questions
Does Steam Cloud sync my Motorsport Manager career?
Yes for Steam, through the Cloud subfolder the game already uses. The saves live in that synced tree by default, so a fresh install pulls them down. Modded databases can still break a synced career.
I just installed and the save folder is missing. What now?
Start one short career first, then quit. That run creates the folder tree above if it is missing, and gives you a known-good save to compare against after moving files.
