Where Does NZBHydra2 Store Config and Database?
NZBHydra2 keeps YAML config with an H2 database and auto backups in one data folder. Docker and native.
Last updated
NZBHydra2 centers on one data folder with three residents: the YAML config with its backup twin, the H2 database directory, and an auto-backup folder on a weekly schedule. Logs sit beside them. A datadir flag relocates the whole set.
Docker images mount that folder at /config, so the host side is whatever the volume maps. Native installs default to a data folder beside the wrapper. Back up config plus database plus the auto backups together; any piece alone restores half the indexer.
Where NZBHydra2 stores this, by platform
./data (NZBHydra2 datadir)
Holds nzbhydra.yml with .bak twin, database/nzbhydra.mv.db H2 store, backup auto copies and logs. Override with --datafolder. Docker maps host folder to /config so the same names appear there.
Frequently asked questions
What do I back up for NZBHydra2?
Copy the whole data folder with the app stopped: YAML config, H2 database directory and auto backups. Database files copy badly while running, so stop first. Keep the backup folder generations for rollback.
Where is the NZBHydra2 database?
In database/nzbhydra.mv.db inside the data folder with trace files beside it. The JDBC URL in code points there by default. Copy it stopped; live copies corrupt silently.
How do I move NZBHydra2 to Docker?
Mount a host folder at /config and place the data contents inside it. Keep the same YAML and database names. Optional downloads mount separately and never belong in the config tree.
