Where Does Qucs Store Projects and Settings?
Qucs keeps projects in ~/.qucs with schematics and simulations per project, plus app settings beside them.
Last updated
Qucs stores user data in a dot folder in your home directory. Each project gets a subfolder with schematics, datasets, and Verilog or VHDL sources. Application settings sit in configuration files at the same level.
Project files reference each other by relative paths, which keeps folders portable between machines. Simulation output regenerates from schematics, so back up sources over results. Exact inner names have moved across Qucs and Qucs-S releases.

~/.qucs
Project subfolders with schematics plus app settings files. Copy whole project folders to migrate. Results rebuild from sources on demand.
Frequently asked questions
How do I move Qucs projects to a new machine?
Copy the project subfolders from ~/.qucs to the same path. Relative references inside survive the move. Rebuild datasets by re running simulations.
Qucs vs Qucs-S paths differ?
Both use the same home folder convention with version specific inner names. Check which fork wrote your projects first. Keep their folders separate when running both.
