SeaMonkey stores browser, mail, and composer data in a Mozilla style profile folder. Windows uses %APPDATA%\Mozilla\SeaMonkey\Profiles, macOS uses ~/Library/Application Support/SeaMonkey/Profiles, Linux uses ~/.mozilla/seamonkey. profiles.ini sits one level above the Profiles dir on each.
Back up the full profile with SeaMonkey closed; mail spools, bookmarks, and passwords travel together. The suite is community maintained at 2.53.x in 2026, so expect the layout frozen rather than modernized. Profile Manager (seamonkey -P) handles multiples without hand edits.
