Frequently asked questions
How do I back up Settlers saves?
Copy the numeric game folder with the game closed. IDs differ per storefront, so match the running one. Restoring means putting the folder back under the same launcher tree.
Old or new Settlers?
This covers the 2023 reboot only. Older titles use Documents heritage paths per release. Never mix old and new folders; engines and IDs differ completely.
