Where Does SideChef Store Saved Recipes?
SideChef cookbooks, meal plans and step by step cache on the account.
Last updated
SideChef stores cookbooks, favorites, meal plans and shopping lists on the account with guided step by step content cached per device. Premium adds deeper personalization and partner collections.
Cook Mode downloads keep the kitchen usable with messy hands and weak signal. The account holds the durable state; the cache holds convenience. Reinstalls restore plans and books on login while step media refetches.
Where SideChef stores this, by platform
App-private storage (cache; cookbooks and plans on your account)
Saved cookbooks and meal plans sync on login. Clearing app data drops cached step photos and videos; collections return by themselves.
App sandbox (cache; cookbooks and plans on your account)
Same model on iPhone and iPad. Deleting the app clears cached media only. Premium status follows the account, not the install.
Frequently asked questions
do SideChef meal plans sync across devices
Yes on the same account. Plans, cookbooks and shopping lists appear everywhere after login. Cached step media downloads fresh per device.
can I use SideChef offline while cooking
Open the recipe online first so steps cache, then cook without signal. Search and new recommendations need connectivity.
