Where Are Stormgate Replays and Saves Located?

Stormgate keeps replays, maps, and config under AppData Local Stormgate Saved, with campaign checkpoints only.

Last updated

Stormgate is Unreal based, so PC data follows the engine tree under AppData Local Stormgate Saved. Replays land in a Replays subfolder. Custom maps and scripts sit under Saved Maps. Config lives beside them.

Campaign progress works differently from skirmish files. Early Access builds checkpoint missions automatically with no manual save slots, which is why no save folder hunt turns up a campaign file. Replays are the portable artifact here, and they expire every patch.

Where Stormgate stores this, by platform

Windows
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Stormgate\Saved

Replays, custom maps, and config below Saved. Campaign checkpoints are internal, with no manual save files to carry.

Linux
<SteamLibrary>/steamapps/compatdata/2012510/pfx/

Proton prefix for app ID 2012510. The Windows Stormgate tree is mirrored inside the prefix drive.

Frequently asked questions

How do I watch a downloaded Stormgate replay?

Drop the file into the Saved Replays folder below. Only replays from the current build play back, so older files stay unviewable after patches.

Where are manual campaign saves?

There are none in Early Access. The campaign saves checkpoints automatically, and manual saves sit on the roadmap rather than in the game.

Does Steam Cloud back up Stormgate?

No. The Steam listing shows no Cloud support, so the local Saved tree is the only copy. Back it up before reinstalls or drive moves.
