Where Does Strong Store Routines and History?

Where the Strong app keeps routines and history on Android and iPhone, and what the account holds. See the folder table below.

Last updated

Strong is cloud log with phone entry. Routines, history, and body metrics live in your account. The phone caches plates, timers, and recent sessions for offline gyms.

Same login means same program. Exact cache names vary with free versus Pro builds. Keep signal on after sessions so sets upload. If history thins, check the email first. A second trial account with a similar name is the classic empty log cause, fixed by signing into the original. Screenshots of settings help when support asks for reproduction steps later.

Android
/sdcard/Android/data/com.strongapp.strong

History follows your Strong account. Phone holds a working copy plus cache. Unsynced sessions upload on signal. Export CSVs for permanent files.

Frequently asked questions

How do I move Strong history to a new phone?

Sign in on the new phone and routines, history, and PRs return from the account. Unsynced workouts stay in private storage until upload. Sync over WiFi first, then verify graphs before wiping. Export CSVs for permanent records.

Does Strong back up workouts automatically?

Yes, in the cloud account once synced. The phone holds a working copy plus exercise cache. Custom exercises merge on login. Reinstalls restore the same history after sign in while dates stay covered. Sync each gym day first.
