Where Are Two Worlds Save Files Located?

Two Worlds saves to a Saved Games folder with XP-era and profile variants, plus registry settings.

Last updated

Two Worlds saves to a Saved Games folder in your user profile, with older variants under Documents for XP-era installs and multi-profile setups. Settings live in the registry under the Reality Pump name.

The profile system is the confusing part. Modern installs hide the multi-profile picker behind a registry flag, dumping every character into one pool. Flip the flag to separate them again, and move existing saves to match. Config tweaks beyond that need a manually created AutoexecGame.con file.

Where Two Worlds stores this, by platform

Windows
%USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Two Worlds Saves

Character saves for modern installs. XP-era and multi-profile saves live under Documents Two Worlds Saves Players instead. Check both when saves look missing.

Windows
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Reality Pump\TwoWorlds

Options and profile flags, not progress. The multi-profile picker and intro toggles live here as registry values.

Linux
<InstallDir>/Game/Two Worlds Saves/

Linux build keeps saves relative to the game directory. Same per-profile layout as Windows for transfers.

Frequently asked questions

How do I re-enable multiple character profiles?

Move the existing saves to the new location, then flip the registry value back. The game reads whichever directory the profile system points at, so files and flag must agree.
