Where Does Wallapop Store Listings and Chats?

Wallapop keeps listings, chats, and favorites on its servers with the phone holding session cache in a private sandbox.

Last updated

Wallapop is fully server-side. Listings, chats, shipping orders, and favorites attach to the account. The sandbox holds login session and cached images.

Location search and alerts resume from the server after login. Reinstalls change nothing observable. The gallery keeps the only full-resolution copy of anything photographed for sale.

Where Wallapop stores this, by platform

Android
/data/data/com.wallapop

Private sandbox for session and image cache. Listings and chats are account-side. Keep sale photos in the gallery; the app caches thumbnails.

iOS
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents

Sandboxed container with the same server archive. Favorites and alerts sync after login. Reinstalls only reset device trust.

Frequently asked questions

How do I move Wallapop to a new phone?

Log in on the new phone. Active listings, conversations, and favorites sync from the account. Listing photos come from the gallery, so keep those outside the old app.

How do I save Wallapop listing photos?

Save them from the listing while it runs. Sold and removed ads take their images with them. The sandbox held thumbnails only, never the originals.
