Where Are Xiaomi Second Space Files Stored?
Xiaomi Second Space isolates apps and files in a separate Android user profile with its own emulated storage area.
Last updated
Second Space is Xiaomi's name for an extra Android user profile: separate apps, separate storage, separate passwords. Each space gets its own emulated storage area (user ID 0 for First Space, higher IDs after), so files with identical names coexist without collision.
Xiaomi shares total disk between spaces while showing per-space usage under Settings, then Storage, then Other users. Deleting the space reclaims its apps and data at once, which beats hunting files one by one.

Per-space emulated storage; exact numeric user ID varies by creation order. Move files between spaces with the system Files app or USB. Back up each space to its own cloud accounts.
Frequently asked questions
How do I move files out of Second Space?
Open the system Files app inside Second Space and move items to shared storage or a computer over USB. Each space backs up to its own cloud accounts, never across spaces.
Do apps share data between First and Second Space?
No. Spaces are separate Android users with independent app installs. Install the app in each space and sign in separately, ideally with different accounts.
