AFFiNE is local first, so unsynced workspaces live on your disk as SQLite plus blobs. The desktop app follows Electron conventions per OS, which puts the data in the standard app data root rather than Documents.
Exact folder casing has shifted between releases, so treat the paths below as the root to inspect rather than gospel. The web app instead uses browser IndexedDB, and self-hosted servers use a Docker volume plus Postgres.
