Where Are Ale Abbey Save Files Located?

The Ale Abbey save folder on PC, under a spaceless HammerAndRavens folder in Unity's LocalLow directory.

Last updated

Ale Abbey saves in LocalLow under HammerAndRavens, written as one word with no spaces. Typing the studio name with a space is the classic way to miss it, since Explorer will not forgive the difference.

The developers themselves ask for this folder when debugging saves, which is about as official as a save path gets. Zip it before sending or before major updates, and your monastery survives anything.

Where Ale Abbey stores this, by platform

Windows
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\HammerAndRavens\AleAbbey

Unity LocalLow location. Both levels run together with no spaces: HammerAndRavens, then AleAbbey. Steam Cloud syncs it, but a manual zip before updates is still wise.

Frequently asked questions

Why does HammerAndRavens with a space find nothing?

The real folder has no spaces in either level. Copy the exact casing from the path above and Explorer jumps straight there.

The developers asked for my save. What do I send?

Zip the whole AleAbbey folder and attach it. That is exactly the directory their support process expects.
