Where Are Aliens: Fireteam Elite Save Files Located?

Aliens: Fireteam Elite saves hide under the Endeavor codename folder in AppData, inside a numbered account folder.

Last updated

The save folder for Aliens: Fireteam Elite is not named after the game at all. Cold Iron built it under the project codename Endeavor, so the folder to look for in Local AppData is Endeavor/Saved/SaveGames. Searching for Aliens or Fireteam in AppData turns up nothing, which catches nearly everyone.

Inside sits one folder of long numbers per account, holding that player's marines, classes and unlocks. That numbering also means shared PCs keep each player's kit separate without any extra work.

Where Aliens: Fireteam Elite stores this, by platform

Windows
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\Endeavor\Saved\SaveGames

Open the numbered account folder inside for the actual data. Back it up before prestige resets or mod experiments, since those rewrite the same files.

Linux
~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/1549970/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Endeavor/Saved/SaveGames

Proton prefix for Steam Deck and Linux desktops, app ID 1549970. The Endeavor codename folder is the same inside the prefix.

Frequently asked questions

Why is there no Aliens folder in my AppData?

The game shipped under the codename Endeavor, and the folder kept that name. Look for Endeavor/Saved/SaveGames instead of anything with Aliens in it.

Can I move Fireteam Elite progress to another PC?

Yes. Copy the numbered account folder into the same Endeavor path on the new machine with Steam Cloud paused, launch once, then re-enable sync.
