Abyssus keeps saves in a plainly named Abyssus folder in Local AppData, following the standard Unreal Engine layout. Progress, unlocks and settings share the one Saved tree, so a single folder copy preserves everything.
Steam Cloud has wiped runs for some players, rolling progress back hours. The fix is boring but effective: keep a dated copy of the Saved folder outside the game paths. Restoring it with cloud sync paused brings back the lost unlocks when the cloud copy misbehaves.
