Where Are Amnesia: The Bunker Save Files Located?
Amnesia The Bunker saves under Documents/My Games, the Steam Cloud mirror folder, and the three profile slot layout.
Last updated
Amnesia: The Bunker keeps saves in Documents under My Games, one folder per player profile with three automatic slots each. The Main/Default path is the one most players need; the numbered profile siblings only matter if you created extra profiles.
Steam keeps a mirror under userdata for AppID 1944430, which is what cloud sync actually uploads. If the Documents copy and the cloud copy disagree, Steam usually asks which to keep. Answer carefully, since the loser is overwritten without a second prompt.
Where Amnesia: The Bunker stores this, by platform
C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\My Games\Amnesia The Bunker\Main\Default
Extra profiles sit as numbered siblings of Default. Config .cfg files live one level up in Main. The Steam cloud mirror is userdata\1944430\remote\Main, synced automatically.
Frequently asked questions
How many save slots does Amnesia The Bunker have?
Three profiles with three automatic slots each. The game writes them on its own schedule, so there is no manual save file to hunt for. Back up the whole Amnesia The Bunker folder to preserve all of them.
Steam asks which save to keep after a reinstall. Which do I pick?
Compare timestamps before clicking. The local Documents copy is usually newer if you played offline. Picking the cloud copy overwrites local files immediately, so copy the folder aside first as insurance.
