Where Does Anytune Store Tracks and Settings?

Where Anytune keeps slowed tracks and practice settings on Mac and iPhone, and how to move them safely.

Last updated

Anytune is a pointer system. Songs stay in Apple Music or Files. Your marks, loops, tempo maps, and EQ live in Anytune settings. That keeps storage light but makes manual moves fiddly, since paths must still resolve.

On Mac settings sit in Application Support with a plist beside them. On iPhone they live in the app container. Export the config from inside the app before migrating. Then copy audio files to matching paths on the new device. Open the config last, so missing files show up as relink prompts instead of silent gaps.

Where Anytune stores this, by platform

macOS
~/Library/Application Support/Anytune

Marks and loops live here plus a plist in Preferences. Audio itself stays in Music or Files. Export config from the app before copying, since raw files alone miss your edits.

iOS
On My iPhone/Anytune

Settings live in the Anytune container under On My iPhone. Songs stay in Music or Files. Export config and copy audio to matching paths before importing.

Frequently asked questions

How do I move Anytune settings to a new device?

Export the config file from settings, then copy it plus your audio files to the new device. Anytune references songs in place rather than copying them, so missing audio breaks the config on open. Keep the same folder layout or relink tracks after import.

Does Anytune copy my music into the app?

No. Anytune points at your Music library and Files without duplicating songs. Marks, loops, and pitch settings live in a small config file. Back up that config plus the audio files themselves. One without the other is useless on restore.
