Where Does a-Shell Store Files?
a-Shell keeps its Unix files in an app folder exposed through Files, with iCloud sync optional.
Last updated
a-Shell is a real Unix environment on iOS, and its home directory lives in the app's Files folder. Scripts, downloads, and documents sit there as ordinary files you can browse, copy, and back up.
That openness is unusual for iOS and worth using. Copy the folder to iCloud Drive or a computer for safekeeping, since uninstalling the app still deletes everything. The Files integration means no share-sheet gymnastics: the data is already files.
