Where Are Asphalt Legends Unite Save Files Located?

Asphalt Legends Unite keeps only local settings on PC because progress lives on Gameloft's servers. Paths for Steam, Store and Android.

Last updated

Asphalt Legends Unite is the current name of Asphalt 9: Legends, and it belongs to the server-side camp: career progress, cars and currency are stored on Gameloft's servers against your account, with the game saving to the cloud on the server side automatically. There is no local save file worth carrying between machines, and the folders that do exist hold encrypted settings and cached data.

The folder name on PC still says Asphalt 9 Legends, exactly as it did at launch in 2018. On Steam it lives in Documents under Gameloft; the Microsoft Store build hides the equivalent inside its app package. Signing in is what actually restores progress on a new laptop or phone.

Where Asphalt Legends Unite stores this, by platform

Windows
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Gameloft\Asphalt 9 Legends

Steam version. Holds encrypted config and local data, not a portable save. It kept the old Asphalt 9 name after the rename.

Windows
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\A278AB0D.Asphalt9_h6adky7gbf63m\SystemAppData\wgs

Microsoft Store version saves inside the app package, with settings in the Settings folder beside it. The store build syncs through Xbox Cloud.

Android
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftA9HM

Package name confirmed on Google Play. Cache and asset data only; the obb twin at Android/obb holds graphics packs. Progress stays on Gameloft's servers.

Frequently asked questions

Can I copy the Gameloft folder to move progress to a new PC?

It will not help. Progression is tied to your account on Gameloft's servers, not to the folder in Documents. Sign in on the new machine and everything returns.

Does the Microsoft Store version save to the same place as Steam?

No. The Steam build writes to Documents\Gameloft, while the Microsoft Store build is sandboxed and keeps its data inside the app package under Packages in LocalAppData.

Is my Asphalt Legends Unite progress safe if I clear the Android data folder?

Yes. The external folder holds cache and assets rather than progression, so clearing it costs you a re-download, not your garage. Progress follows your account.
