Where Does Aurora Store Save Downloaded APKs?
Aurora Store downloads to /data/data/com.aurora.store by default. Flip on external storage to get APKs under Aurora/Store/Downloads.
Last updated
Aurora Store defaults to its private sandbox, which file managers cannot open without root. That is fine for install-and-forget use. It frustrates anyone who wants the APK file itself.
The fix is one toggle. External storage mode redirects downloads into shared storage where they sort by app and version. Manual downloads from Aurora always use the shared path regardless of the toggle. Set it before a bulk update and every APK stays reachable afterwards.
Where Aurora Store stores this, by platform
/data/data/com.aurora.store
Default location across recent versions, exact subfolder varies by release. Needs root to browse. Enable the external toggle to avoid this path.
/storage/emulated/0/Aurora/Store/Downloads
Appears after enabling external storage in Settings, then Downloads. Organized by package name and version code.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get shareable APKs from Aurora Store?
Open Aurora Settings, then Downloads, and enable the external storage toggle. New downloads land in Internal Storage/Aurora/Store/Downloads sorted by package and version. Older cached files stay private.
Is it files/Download or cache/Downloads?
It changed across versions. Older builds used files/Download, newer ones use the cache directory. Both sit under the same private parent, so treat the whole tree as version-dependent.
Why is Aurora Store using so much space?
Turn on auto-delete in Aurora download settings. Otherwise every update keeps its APK in the private folder and storage grows quietly.
