Where Does Jadx Store Settings and History?

Jadx keeps its GUI config in ~/.config/jadx on Unix and %USERPROFILE%\.jadx on Windows, with projects user placed.

Last updated

Jadx stores interface settings, recent files and plugin choices in a small config home per OS. Decompiled projects go wherever you export them, never into that folder.

Cache from large APKs lands beside the config and regrows on demand. Deleting the whole home resets the GUI to defaults without touching any exported source tree.

Where Jadx stores this, by platform

Linux
~/.config/jadx

GUI prefs and recent projects list. CLI users can ignore it entirely since flags override everything. Cache clears with the folder.

macOS
~/.config/jadx

Same XDG style path on Mac. Exported Gradle projects stay in the folder you chose at export time.

Windows
%USERPROFILE%\.jadx

Dot folder in the profile with the same contents. Portable builds keep config beside the binaries instead.
