Where Are Bodycam Save Files Located?

Bodycam saves operatives and settings in a Bodycam folder under Local AppData, with Steam Cloud over userdata.

Last updated

Bodycam is an Unreal Engine 5 shooter with the standard engine layout: Local AppData/Bodycam/Saved with SaveGames for progress, Config for GameUserSettings.ini, and Crashes for diagnostics. Steam Cloud mirrors saves via userdata.

Early builds sometimes used a BODYCAMFPSKITV22 folder instead, so check both names if the expected one is missing. Deleting settings is the standard fix for unlaunchable resolutions.

Where Bodycam stores this, by platform

Windows
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Bodycam\Saved\SaveGames

SaveGames plus Config and Crashes. Early builds may use BODYCAMFPSKITV22 instead. Steam Cloud mirrors via userdata/2406770.

Linux
~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/2406770/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Bodycam/Saved/SaveGames

Proton prefix for app ID 2406770; the Bodycam tail inside mirrors Windows. Same folder-name fallback on Deck.

Frequently asked questions

How do I back up Bodycam saves?

Copy the whole Bodycam folder with the game closed. Config, crashes, and saves travel together; Cloud covers the Steam side.

Bodycam launches with broken resolution. How do I reset it?

Delete the Bodycam folder (or GameUserSettings.ini inside Config) with the game closed. It relaunches at safe defaults you can raise again.
