Where Does Canon PRINT Store Scans and Settings?

Canon PRINT holds printer registrations and job settings in the app and your Canon ID. Scans save to the gallery or Downloads folder.

Last updated

Canon PRINT is the remote panel for Canon printers and scanners. It registers machines over WiFi, fires print jobs with paper and quality settings, and drives the flatbed or feeder for scans. A Canon ID syncs the printer list between phones, which covers most of a move.

Files behave like phone files. Scans land in the gallery or Downloads depending on the save choice, and photos printed from the phone read straight from the camera roll. Driver-level printing on desktops is separate; the app never touches those queues. When a printer vanishes, re-register on the same network before suspecting the app data.

Where Canon PRINT stores this, by platform

Android
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/jp.co.canon.bsd.ad.pixmaprint/files

Registrations sync via Canon ID; scans save to gallery or Downloads. Exact cache folder names may vary by version. Re-register printers on the same WiFi when the list goes stale.

iOS
Canon PRINT app storage (Settings > iPhone Storage)

Same Canon ID model as Android. Save scans to Photos for safekeeping. The app sandbox holds settings only, so reinstalling with login restores printers.

Frequently asked questions

Where do Canon PRINT scans go?

Register the printer in the app over the same WiFi, then open the scan tile and pick document or photo mode. Finished scans offer save-to-gallery or share; pick gallery for a durable copy in Photos or DCIM. cloud-linked printers can also push scans to linked storage services.

Do printers transfer to a new phone?

Yes for the registration list when signed into a Canon ID. Print settings and custom paper sizes travel less reliably, so screenshot favorite presets before switching phones. Firmware and ink levels always read live from the printer itself.
