Where Does the Chefkoch App Store Data?

Chefkoch keeps login session and saved cookbooks in private storage on both phones. Lists sync with the account.

Last updated

Chefkoch keeps login session and cookbook cache in private app storage on each phone. Android holds it under its own package folder. iOS uses a per install container with a GUID name. Saved images accumulate there while browsing recipes.

Cookbooks and follows live with the account on servers, so a fresh login restores nearly everything. A manual folder copy adds nothing and can leave a stale session. Clear only the cache for stale food photos. Check cookbooks inside the account profile before wiping, then sign back in after reinstall.

Where Chefkoch stores this, by platform

Android
/data/data/de.pixelhouse

Private session and cookbook cache for the verified pixelhouse package. Cookbooks sync with the Chefkoch account.

iOS
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents

GUID container for the iOS twin bundle (App Store ID 478618165). Note the iphone suffix differs from Android.

Frequently asked questions

Do Chefkoch cookbooks transfer phones?

Log into the same Chefkoch account on the new phone. Cookbooks and follows sync from servers within minutes. Downloaded images re cache on demand while browsing, so no manual transfer is needed.

How do I clear Chefkoch cache?

Clear the cache from system settings when food photos look stale. A full storage clear logs you out and drops local images. Favorites return after login because they live with the account.
