Where Does Cubasis Store Projects?
Cubasis keeps songs as .cbp project folders in its MediaBay, shareable as zip files through Files or iTunes.
Last updated
Cubasis songs live in the MediaBay under Projects. Each project is a folder with a .cbp file plus its audio and backups. Mixdowns collect separately under Mixdown. Nothing reaches iCloud Drive or Dropbox until you share it there.
The portable form is a zip made from Share. That bundle holds the .cbp with all audio, ready for iTunes File Sharing, AirDrop, or external drives. It also opens in desktop Cubase. Reviewers who zip to Dropbox before deleting from the iPad never lose takes.
Where Cubasis stores this, by platform
Cubasis MediaBay > Projects (share via Files or iTunes)
Zip projects with Share for transfer. Audio imports accept wav, m4a, mp3, ogg, and flac. Auto saves land in project subfolders; use Back up Project equivalents via zip for real archives.
Frequently asked questions
How do I move Cubasis projects to a new iPad?
Zip each project with Share, copy the zips through Files, AirDrop, or iTunes File Sharing, then unzip on the new device. Purchases stay tied to your Apple ID for redownload.
Does Cubasis auto save to iCloud Drive?
No. iCloud appears as a manual share target alongside Dropbox and external drives. Save to Files deliberately or zips stay local to the iPad only.
