Where Are Cyberpunk 2077 Save Files Located?
Cyberpunk 2077 save paths on Windows, macOS and Linux, and why the AppData folder older guides point you to no longer holds the saves.

Cyberpunk 2077 writes saves to the old-school Saved Games folder in your user profile, not to AppData. That has been true since version 2.0, and plenty of older guides still send readers to AppData, which now only holds settings and cache.
Inside the save folder you get AutoSave, QuickSave, ManualSave and a PointofNoReturn folder, each holding the save itself plus a thumbnail. Windows renames Saved Games to your display language, so on a Polish install the folder reads Zapisane Gry instead. Copying the whole folder before a big patch is cheap insurance.

Paste this into the Explorer address bar or the Run dialog. It is a different place from %LOCALAPPDATA%\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077, which holds UserSettings.json and a cache rather than saves, though older guides still point readers there. If you have relocated Saved Games in Windows, the game ignores the new location.

This is the GOG, Steam and Epic build, which arrived on Apple silicon Macs in July 2025. The Mac App Store build is sandboxed, so its saves sit deeper: ~/Library/Containers/com.cdprojektred.cyberpunk/Data/Library/Application Support/CD Projekt Red/Cyberpunk 2077/saves.

1091500 is the Steam App ID, and the prefix holds a fake Windows drive where the tail of the path matches the Windows one. The prefix lives in whichever Steam library folder the game is installed to, not always in the main one.

Yes, if you copy the save folder across, since the Mac build reads the same files. GOG, Steam and Epic all hand out the Mac version free to people who already own the game, and cross progression can pull saves through your storefront account.
