Where Does DAZN Store Downloads and Account Data?

DAZN streams from its servers with downloads and login session kept in a private sandbox on the phone.

Last updated

DAZN is streaming-first. The subscription, favorites, and watch history live in the account. The sandbox holds login session plus any offline downloads for planes and trains.

Downloads carry DRM and play only inside the app. They expire when the event rights window closes, which surprises people hoarding fights. Device limits count active installs, so sign out the old phone when switching.

Where DAZN stores this, by platform

Android
/data/data/com.dazn

Private sandbox for session and encrypted downloads. Subscription is account-side. Downloads expire with rights windows and cannot be copied out.

iOS
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents

Sandboxed container with the same account archive. Offline viewing uses the downloads tab in-app. Screen recording is blocked on protected content.

Frequently asked questions

How do offline DAZN downloads work?

Use the download button on supported events and watch from the downloads tab. Files stay encrypted inside the sandbox and expire with the rights window. Copying them out is not possible by design.

How do I move DAZN to a new phone?

Log in on the new phone. Subscriptions and favorites sync from the account. Downloads do not transfer and need re-downloading on each device.
